Because we’re so fortunate to have a variety of courses all over our glorious state, this year the MWGA has booked a weekend of golf in the Southwestern region close to Lake Michigan . We thought a location change would be a positive move and hope members will relish the opportunity to play in ‘uncharted’ grounds.

There will be two formats for a change of pace rather than scrambles both days. We will play a scramble the first day and a best 2 of 4 tournament the second day. This will give your team a chance to get the feel of the course on Saturday, and then play your best individual games on Sunday.

 Home to the Western Amateur qualifier, Michigan Golf describes this course as “one of Lake Michigan shoreline’s more pleasurable yet demanding layouts. The Charles Maddox design pays homage to design of yore that places a premium on club selection and course management. The course will test your skill as a shot-maker with accuracy off the tee a must. The course features mature trees, elevation changes and some of the best greens in southwest Michigan .” The magazine lists Lake Michigan Hills as one of 37 must-play courses offering incomparable value and golfing pleasure.
