2-Person (Woman)
Eraser Rules
(Also known as
Select Score; Eclectic Score)
The current USGA Rules of Golf
will govern all competition except for the following 2 Person
(Woman) Eraser Rules and any local rules, which will be
presented before play begins.
The format is a 2-Person
(Woman) Eraser, also known as Select Score or Eclectic Score.
This is a handicapped stroke play team
event based on playing 36 holes either in one day or over a two
day period. Each team member plays their own ball throughout
the 36 holes. After completion of 36 holes, from the two
scores, each player selects the better score on each hole,
scoring the lowest total score for 18. – You simply “erase” the
higher scores. Prizes are based on the lowest combined
team “Eraser Scores” awarding both gross and net
prizes in all divisions. Each actual 18 hole scores will be
used for posting and if a team member selects not to complete a
hole, they should use their equitable stroke count (ESC)
suffixed with an X for their score for posting purposes.
Note: a player may not use their ESC on the same
hole for each round as, being a combined team score, they will
not be able to accurately score the hole and, consequently, be
disqualified.
Violation of the MWGA 2-Person
(Woman) Eraser Rules will result in the team being
disqualified.
MWGA Pace of Play Policy Will
